If you look at this there is very little glare off of the building because of the polarizer filter. Some of the shots did have glare on the buildings, so it is important to remember that as the light changes, you need to rotate your polarizer filter to match up with that.
Here are my two best photos, with a little post production magic added on.


Both photos were taken handheld with my Pentax k-10D and the kit 18-55mm lens while standing on a two foot step stool that was less than stable in the crowd of people. A circular polarizer was used to remove as much of the glare as possible, though it was impossible to remove all of it. The noise was removed out the photos in post production, and gives an almost cartoon quality to the photograph. Still, I am quite pleased with the results.
