Photographing the sky

There are many ways to photograph the sky, and one such way is to "underexpose" it. Below are 4 pictures with decreasing exposures. These are all taken between 4pm and 6pm and not at night but simply the result of underexposing the sky. There is not really a correct way to expose the sky, and any of these can be used as a background to a perfectly lit subject with the flash. Unfortunately, I did not have a perfectly lit subject to illustrate this point.









This following set does not have the sun in the picture, but the same set of decreasing exposures by a half stop for every picture is demonstrated.
