Turning your living room into a photo studio

For those of you that have kids that never sit still, and you want to be ready with lighting at any time, you can try mounting a flash to bounce off your ceiling so you always have your room lit. In this case, I know I can cover about 2/3 of the room with the flash set on 1/4 power and the camera set to -1EV.

Here are set up pictures. The flash is mounted using a justin clamp, and triggered via Ebay radio triggers. The model loves pressing the test button on the camera and triggering the flash to go off.

Here is a picture without the flash. Notice the color case from the mixed light, and the soft focus from the lengthy exposure.

This last photo shows the lighting using the sunlight balanced bookshelf mounted flash. Not only is the photo lit better, but the focus and color cast are better too.
